Personal Development through education

Youngsters can become disillusioned with the education system for many reasons. KO2 helps individuals get back into education.

We controversially but effectively introduce young non-offenders to the realities of life as an offender, voiced by youth offenders themselves. Using structured sessions based around crime reduction models the programme is powerful to both parties in helping them to understand and acknowledge the impact of crime, social exclusion and the negative widespread, lasting effects on individuals and communities.

We help them to develop skills, including but not limited to dirtbiking, that will enable youngsters to stay away from criminal activities and the associated way of life. We also build pride in the community.

Career development

Self-belief, motivation and the ability to build relationships personally and professionally are enhanced here. We encourage personal development with accreditation courses through ACU (AutoCycle Union BikeSport GB). This, alongside academic accreditation through ASDAN, automatically builds up confidence and an individuals outlook on their own future.

Emergency First Aid, Certificate of Personal Effectiveness and Life Routes Award all equal credits in the National Curriculum.
