KO2 Adventures CIC (KO2) supports vulnerable young people of North Yorkshire and the local Nidderdale community.

While doing this KO2 and its participants are also supporting and promoting awareness of associated charity work assisting numerous communities within Kenya, East Africa, where youngsters are suffering far greater problems.

Our aims are to engage local young people in a safe, fun, learning experience, training them in riding and maintainance of dirtbikes. Including life skills and components of the national PSHCE (Personal Social Health and Citizenship Education) curriculum we effectively cater to a wide variety of youngsters.

Youngsters are involved in taking bikes apart and putting them back together. General riding techniques alongside North Yorkshire Police's "BikeSafe" are also provided to ensure an introduction to road safety.

Outcomes include increased self esteem & confidence in each individual and a new awareness of the importance of education, with ASDAN, Life Routes accreditation to help them along.

We want to ensure these individuals realise their equality in society and the responsibilities needed within that role, in order to achieve well and participate fully in their community and todays society.

We value, foremost, the input and insight of young people which is all too often tarnished by outside influence.
