What experience do I need?

Be a confident and competent road rider, with plenty of experience riding large bikes. You do not need to be an off road expert. You should normally have held your motorcycle licence for a minimum of two years and be a minimum of 21 years of age. Pillions must be experienced and used to long-haul trips as well as a minimum of 18 years old.

What about mechanical & medical support?

At least 50% of the money you raise to take part goes straight into AVIF. You get the "holiday" but if you can fundraise or get sponsorship to cover most of the cost then you're directly funding sustainable development in rural Kenyan communities ravaged by poverty. You're also promoting awareness of both our work and the situation in Kenya. Successful businesses have much bigger "pots of cash" than most people, set aside specifically for CSR (corporate social responsibility), much like an advertising budget. You simply need to tap into it and take it to Kenya with you.
